Setting delivery / pickup settings

All orders placed from your online shop will have be fulfilled by your physical stores / outlets. Learn how to configure your store in Oddle and how to set your pickup and delivery settings.

1. Setting your store information

Setting your store's information allows customers to easily find you when they pick up from your store or contact you for any queries. To update any of your store's information, navigate to the "Store Information" page. You can update your store name, address, contact number and additional instructions / directions to your store.

2. Setting basic pickup settings for your store

To access your store's pickup settings, navigate to the "Pickup" page for the selected store. By default, all stores are enabled for pickup. This means your customers can place orders for pickup from this store. To turn off, you can simply disable the "Enable Store" toggle.

You can set the hours in which your store is open for pickup orders. To do this:

  1. Click on the "Regular Pickup" tab under "1. Pickup Hours"

  2. Click on "Add Hours"

  3. Select the "Available Days" and "Start At" and "End At" times to set your pickup hours

  4. Select the "interval in minutes" - This determines the interval between the time slots a customer can select i.e If you choose a 60 minute interval, your customers will see available time slots as 1pm-2pm, 2pm-3pm and so forth.

  5. You can set the number of orders per slots (For new merchants, we recommend putting a lower number like 10)

  6. (Optional) Set a lead preparation time - this is the time needed for your store to prepare the order before your customers can pickup the items. We recommend 30- 60 minutes.

  7. (Optional) Set a cut-off time - this sets the time in which an order can be placed for the available time slots

  8. Click on save to save your store's pickup hours

  9. Ensure that you have pickup enabled in your payment method

You can set a series of "Regular hours" depending on your operational needs. For example you could have "Regular hours" for Lunch and Dinner or "Regular hours" for weekdays and weekends.

Optionally, you can also set the minimum order amount pickup orders. This sets the amount in which a customer order before he or she can checkout. The minimum order amount can be changed under "2. Minimum Order Amount"

Optionally, you can also set the additional preparation time needed for large orders. This feature is useful if you occasionally receive large corporate or catering orders and need additional preparation time. The settings for large orders can be changed under "3. Large Orders". You can also prevent checkout for large orders and leave a message for the customer to contact you directly.

3. Setting basic delivery settings for your store

To access your store's delivery settings, navigate to the "Delivery" page for the selected store. By default, all stores are disabled for delivery. To turn it on, you can simply enable the "Enable Store" toggle.

  1. Click on the "Regular Delivery" tab under "1. Delivery Hours"

  2. Click on "Add Hours"

  3. Select the "Available Days" and "Start At" and "End At" times to set your delivery hours

You can set the delivery zones in which your store delivers to. In each zone, you can configure the delivery charges, minimum purchase amounts, delivery cost waiver and additional travel times. To do this:

  1. Click on the "Add Zone" button under "3. Delivery Zone"

  2. Draw a delivery zone using the drawing tools. You can either draw a circle using the "Circle" or a shape using the "Shape" tool around your store.

  3. Input the relevant Zone name, delivery charges, min purchase amounts, delivery charge waiver, and additional delivery travel time as required

  4. Click Save to save the settings

Optionally, you can also set the additional preparation time needed for large orders. This feature is useful if you occasionally receive large corporate or catering orders and need additional preparation time. The settings for large orders can be changed under "2. Large Orders". You can also prevent checkout for large orders and leave a message for the customer to contact you directly.

4. Advanced settings (Special hours and block off dates)

4.1 Setting Special Hours

This setting allows you to add special opening hours for certain dates (e.g. if Christmas eve falls on a regular working day like Tuesday and you wish to only open for half a day). To add special hours, navigate to the special hours tab under your store's pickup or delivery settings.

4.2 Setting Block off dates

Delivery and pickup services at your store may not be available on some dates due to holidays or unforeseen circumstances - as such you can set block off dates for your store. To add block off dates, navigate to the block off dates tab under your store's pickup or delivery settings.

Note: Block Off dates supersede Special Operating Hours which in turn supersede Regular Hours.
